Byers' Choice #363

Byers' Choice #363 "Polish Star Man"

In Poland, Christmas is often called the Festival of the Star. At sunset on Christmas Eve, the youngest children of the house are sent out to watch for the first star to appear in the night sky. Only when they found it, are the candles lit and the holiday meal served. After dinner, the children wait for the arrival of the Star Man and his choir of star children, who give gifts to good children and punish the naughty.
